Gravel driveways

Most of the driveway work around here is ruts, standing water, and stone that has washed into the grass. I look at the grade and how water actually moves across the property before I haul anything in.

That can mean a new gravel driveway from a dirt track, building it back up with stone, or packing a worn drive so it sheds water again. Valparaiso, Chesterton, Portage, and Westville lots all sit a little different — clay, woods, and short aprons next to a garage each need a different layout.

Muddy, rutted dirt driveway through the woods with standing water
Graded driveway with fresh stone, clean edges, and railroad-tie border
Muddy excavated driveway with standing water beside a metal garage
Fresh gravel driveway along a metal garage and lawn
Worn gravel driveway with grass coming through and a pile of new stone at the garage
Finished gravel driveway running straight to the white garage
Fresh gravel meeting the garage door threshold
